About the Role:

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Financial Analyst who is passionate about growing the S&T brand through meaningful financial insights to drive action and decision making.

Reporting to the Finance Director, your primary job responsibilities will include:

Expense Management & Accounts Payable

  • Track and analyze operating expenses across Sweat & Tonic and Silver Springs, identifying areas for cost optimization and communicating findings to relevant teams
  • Process all outgoing payments on behalf of Sweat & Tonic, including EFTs, wires, cheques, and e-transfers, following approval policies
  • Receive, record, and code all invoices for S&T and Silver Springs, ensuring accurate system entry for smooth month-end reconciliation
  • Prepare budget vs. actuals variance reports to identify areas of savings and financial pressures
  • Support construction budgeting and expense tracking through collaboration with the Construction team, including inputting and maintaining invoices in Procore
  • Daily monitoring and maintenance of all Float transactions for Sweat & Tonic, including detailed allocation breakdowns and category tracking, with monthly exports and duplicate reconciliation
  • Monthly review and reconciliation of Float transactions for Silver Springs, including allocation breakdowns, categorization, and duplicate checks
  • Perform bi-weekly reconciliation of instructor payslips
  • Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records
  • Prepare the HST filing on a monthly basis

Accounts Receivable

  • Create and issue invoices for the Sales, Partnerships & Events team, maintaining accurate revenue allocation records for all events
  • Follow up with clients on remittance of outstanding invoices and conduct monthly audits of outstanding vendor invoices to ensure timely collection

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Daily management of the accounting mailbox, prioritizing and actioning all incoming correspondence
  • Full-cycle management of new employee onboarding and end-to-end processing of employee departures
  • Maintain meticulous financial filing and records to support departmental compliance and audit readiness
  • Support ad hoc projects and financial analyses as required.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, and/or other relevant business area
  • Degree in Accounting or Business/Commerce; actively working towards or completed a CPA designation is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals with the ability to draw insights and convey complex information in a clear and actionable manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modelling)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Float, Procore, Netsuite or UKG is an asset
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is considered an asset
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills and a personal interest in health and fitness
