About Us

Sweat, recover, connect: Sweat and Tonic (S&T) brings the best of boutique fitness and wellness under one roof. S&T is Toronto's leading boutique fitness and wellness hub, offering the widest collection of group fitness classes in Canada. From complimentary full-service amenities and an unparalleled range of yoga, Pilates, HIIT, indoor cycling and Lagree Megaformer classes powered by top-of-the-line fitness equipment, custom-programmed lighting, immersive projection screens and state-of-the-art sound systems, to premium spa, recovery and high-tech biohacking amenities - every aspect of S&T has been designed to deliver a best-in-class experience with a hospitality approach. With premium spa facilities, café, and bar offerings, members can recharge, recover, and reignite. Tonic House, the multi-functional lounge, workspace and event venue, inspires collaboration and innovation. Since opening in 2019, S&T has innovated and expanded state-of-the-art classes across multiple channels: In-studio, Sweat in the Park, Sweat Live, Sweat on Demand, and Sweat on the Roof – a one-of-a-kind, outdoor rooftop fitness studio in the heart of downtown Toronto.

In spring 2023, S&T opened its first international sister location, Silver Springs, a boutique yoga and Pilates oasis in the heart of Los Angeles, and opened its second location in Toronto at The Well in December 2023. S&T expanded the brand in June 2025 with a new concept studio, REFORMD - the world’s largest-capacity Lagree studio, and will be bringing a fourth location in Toronto’s prestigious Yorkville neighbourhood in early 2026. S&T was the recipient of the 2023 Mariana Tek Lasting Community Award, 2023 ClassPass Best Studio Award, and 2024 Mariana Tek Full House Award, recognizing the commitment to innovation and excellence.

We're expanding our Ride Instructor team across our current studios and preparing to launch our next flagship location at Yonge & Yorkville in early 2026. This is a unique chance for aspiring Ride Instructors to receive the training, opportunity and mentorship to develop the skills and experience needed to perform at the highest level and become a part of a passionate, dynamic team that is here to disrupt the fitness industry.

About the opportunity

Aspiring instructors will begin with our four-week Beat Ride Development Workshop Series led by our Lead Instructor for Ride and supported with mentorship from members of our Ride team. Sessions run Fridays from 1–3pm at our Yonge/Shuter or Front/Spadina locations on October 17, 24, 31, and November 7, 2025. In addition to attending all workshops, participants must attend 2 classes per week and submit guided feedback assignments to support their learning. Commitment to completing all workshops and class feedback assignments is mandatory requirements of the program.

Candidates will then be selected to move forward into a second phase of development, where they’ll receive studio time to practice, opportunities to teach classes with an audience and ongoing mentorship and feedback.

Final auditions will be offered to those who demonstrate steady growth, openness to feedback and excel in the core elements of our program: technical proficiency, engaging, authentic presence, and genuine connection with guests.

A $100 deposit is required to confirm a place in the program and will be fully refunded only upon completion of the four workshops and class feedback assignments.
