ABOUT THE ROLE:

Tonic Bar operates as a multifunctional concept offering smoothies, coffee, and grab-and-go options, Tonic House, located at The Well, extends the Tonic Bar menu with a dedicated attendant, providing a workspace and serving cocktails and snacks into the night. The Tonic Bar and Tonic House play a crucial role in realizing our mission to elevate fitness and wellness in Canada.

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Part-Time Tonic Bar Cafe Team Member who is passionate about growing their career, and joining a young and dynamic team. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrating fluency of the Tonic Bar menu and sharing that knowledge with our guests and members
  • Greet guests and members warmly, and provide friendly, attentive and efficient service. 
  • Demonstrate a willingness to become a highly trained Barista
  • Ring orders through the POS and handle payments accurately.
  • Merchanize food and beverages in the display fridges and bakery case.
  • Prepare and serve our menu of coffee, tea and smoothies, following established recipes and quality standards. 
  • Prepare and serve food items, including baked goods, and toasts
  • Working together to keep our space immaculately clean, and assisting in general clean-up throughout the shift.

The successful candidate will have flexible part-time availability, including evenings and weekends, and be willing to work up to 30 hours / week. 

Compensation and Benefits

  • $18.00/hour depending on experience
  • Full Membership to Sweat and Tonic

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a retail, cafe or hospitality environment is preferred, but not required
  • Food Handlers certification is an asset, but not required.
  • Smart Serve certification is an asset, but not required.
